we tried our first dog sports class and we had SO much fun!! kora got the hang of everything so quickly and it was soo helpful to build her confidence more and work on being neutral around other dogs

even tho we’ve made good progress recently, we still have off days where i feel like we should be doing better like today and its a good reminder to acknowledge how far we’ve come vs. fixating on where we “fell short”

for example, i was really annoyed kora kept breaking her heel and iman was annoyed zeki was being vocal (both small, but specific things we’re working on with our dogs in their reactivity journey). all we could see with our own dog was how they were “failing”, but the funny thing is we both thought the other person and their dog were doing amazing

so it was a good reminder to not be so hard on yourself and your dog for having an off day especially when you’ve been putting in the work on your training journey 🫶🏻
