Another day another water heater .Thanks Lisa
Quick tip
Electrical equations
Volts x. Amps= watts
Watts divide volts= Amps
Volts = watts divide amps
2 x k x I xL divide by voltage drop = wire size for single phase
By applying any of these equations you can determine wire size, voltage , Amps or watts this is ohms law.
If you already have an expansion tank installed, great! If you don't know whether your plumbing system is open or closed, find out! While your home may have a device regulating water pressure, or safeguards against contaminating the water supply, it still may be vulnerable to the damaging pressure of thermally-expanded water.
Quick Tip: Expansion tanks should be inspected annually. Once installed, the only way to get an accurate reading on the expansion tank's air pressure is to shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a faucet before measuring. Since your water heater should also be on an annual maintenance routine, it makes sense to deal with both at the same time.
Ok let's take a moment to talk and decide what working pressure should be in a structure. Some of your are probably thinking the more water pressure the better.I understand I love a nice hot strong shower just like anyone else.But here is where all the problems began. Incoming pressure should not exceed 80psi 70 psi is even better. Most major issues are created by to much pressure.This creates leaking fixtures through out your home damage to ice makers, dishwasher, water heaters and not to mention the damage you are causing on your pocket book for repair bills. But I no that some of you that are reading this still will insists on keeping that pressure set right where it is at and that quiet alright to that's what's keeps us plumbers busy and we really enjoy the extra work that is created by this.🤑. So the next time your plumber informs you that you have a bad pressure regulator or don't have one at all he is just doing you a favor trying to say you from all those repair bills that he will soon collect on if you persist in not taking a professional advice. I hope that each and everyone on you have a great Christmas and happy new year. Look for future upcoming tec advice concerning water filtration and thermal expansion.

Funny how customers thank 110 psi of pressure is ok for there plumbing fixtures then when they receive the bill that laugh just rolls right away and they ask what can I do to not have this happen again. Then I state one more time install a pressure regulator same thing they was just told a month ago. But I guess after a couple hundred dollars worth of repair bills maybe they will finally get it .
