Air Control Systems

October is Careers in Construction Month — a time to recognize the people who build, maintain, and support the spaces we rely on every day.

This month is an opportunity to highlight the many career paths within commercial HVAC construction. From service and construction to estimating, project management, controls, and more, our industry offers opportunities to develop technical skills, solve real-world problems, and build a long-term career.

For more than 35 years, ACS has grown alongside the people who make that work possible, and we’re proud to be part of an industry that continues to create opportunities for the next generation of skilled professionals.

Interested in a career in HVAC? Follow ACS and keep us in mind as you explore where the industry can take you.

Today, we’re celebrating our entire Human Resources team and the important role they play in supporting the people who make ACS what it is.

So much of what HR does happens behind the scenes — supporting our employees, strengthening our workplace culture, helping our teams navigate change, and keeping the programs, policies, and people initiatives that support our growing organization moving forward.

We’re grateful for every member of our HR team and all they do for Team ACS!

We also want to give a special shoutout to the two newest members of our team: Elizabeth Campbell, Director of Human Resources, and Brad Battenberg, HR Generalist. Both have joined ACS this year and have already made a meaningful impact through their support, dedication, and commitment to our people.

Elizabeth, Brad, and our entire team working behind the scenes to support HR and People Operations — thank you for everything you do for our employees and for helping make ACS a great place to work. We appreciate you!

Happy HR Professionals Day!

Happy Birthday to our Service Manager, Finis Washington! 🎉

If there’s one thing we know about Finis, it’s that he’s always ready to jump in and help get things moving. He brings a ton of knowledge, a strong work ethic, and the kind of experience you can only build by being in the trenches year after year.

But beyond the title and the experience, Finis is simply someone people know they can count on.

We’re lucky to have you on the ACS team, Finis. Hope you get to enjoy the day, celebrate big, and have fun!

Happy Birthday! 🥳

👏 Congratulations to Ruben Gonzalez on 15 years with ACS! 🎉

For 15 years, Ruben has been a loyal and dependable part of the ACS team. He began his time with the company installing ductwork, where he took on a lead role in the field—helping guide installations, support his teammates, and share his knowledge and experience with others. He later transitioned into piping, further expanding his field expertise and becoming an even more versatile resource within our Construction Department.

Throughout his career with ACS, Ruben has been someone others can turn to for guidance and support. He has helped teach and develop many teammates along the way and is personable, outgoing, a strong communicator, and someone who genuinely cares about the people he works with and the company he represents.
Ruben continues to give his all and can be counted on to bring experience, dedication, leadership, and a positive presence to the job.

Thank you, Ruben, for 15 years of loyalty, hard work, and everything you’ve contributed to ACS. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you!

A little friendly competition made for a great opportunity to connect at the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Scavenger Hunt in Newport Beach!

Our team enjoyed getting out on the water, strengthening relationships, and spending time with professionals across the property management and commercial real estate community. Events like this are a great way to stay connected with the people and organizations we work alongside.

Thank you to IREM OC for putting together such a fun and well-organized event last week. We appreciated the opportunity to take part.

Celebrating 5 years with Gary Bittner! 🎉

As an Account Manager on our Service/Maintenance team, Gary represents ACS with the kind of integrity, dedication, and genuine care that makes a lasting impression. He works hard for our customers, builds strong relationships, and brings a positive attitude to every interaction.

And if you’ve worked with Gary, you already know—his smile is contagious.

Gary, thank you for the energy, commitment, and care you bring to ACS and our customers every day. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to many more years ahead!

Cheers to 5 years, Gary! 👏

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who stepped forward in service to others.

We also honor the first responders who ran toward danger, risking and sacrificing their lives to save others, and those who continue to carry the physical and emotional impact of that day.

As we mark this 25th anniversary, we reflect with gratitude, respect, and remembrance.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
