Teens consistently report that parents and caregivers influence their decisions about substance use more than social media.
That means something powerful: your voice matters! π
You donβt need to have the perfect words.
You donβt need to be an expert.
Showing up, listening, and talking honestly makes a difference.
Prevention starts with connection π€
and connection starts at home π
If youβre looking for conversation tips, prevention tools, or local support, CRARC connects families across Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, Madison, and Cortland counties to trusted resources.

Using alone increases the risk of overdose. But if someone doesnβt have anyone they can call, there is still an option!
Never Use Alone is a 24/7 national overdose response line.
π 1-800-484-3731
If someone is using by themselves, they can call before they use.
A trained volunteer will:
β’ Stay on the line
β’ Ask for the callerβs location
β’ Call EMS if the person stops responding
All operators have lived experience.
There is no judgment. No lectures. No pressure to quit.
All calls are confidential. Information is only shared with EMS if help needs to be sent.
Harm reduction saves lives. Share to spread awareness!
