The Oneida City Fire Department is a full-time paid department made up of 24 dedicated firefighters, a fire chief and an administrative assistant/BSI. The department covers the 22 square miles that make up the City of Oneida and responds to everything from a lift assist to fully involved fires.

If you've driven under that bridge while traveling on the Thruway you can understand why it needs to be replaced. 😬
🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – BRIDGE CLOSURE STARTS TODAY 🚨
The NYS Route 46 bridge over the Thruway (I-90) is closed effective today, March 30, for scheduled bridge work.
🔁 Detour routes are in place and clearly marked
🚗 Expect changes to normal traffic patterns in the area
⏰ Allow extra travel time and plan accordingly
Please use caution, follow posted detours, and drive safely.
