June is Men’s Mental Health Month, a time to recognize that mental health matters for every man in our community. Today, the Oneida Comprehensive Health Division joins communities worldwide in recognizing World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Elder abuse is not only a safety concern—it is a public health and human rights issue that impacts the health, well-being, and dignity of our elders.

Our elders are the foundation of our community - keepers of culture, knowledge, and history. They deserve to be treated with honor, respect, and compassion in every interaction and setting.

Elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation can happen to anyone, and too often it goes unreported. Together, we can change that.

💜 Take a stand today:
✔️ Learn the signs
✔️ Check in on elders in your life
✔️ Speak up if something doesn’t feel right

When we stand together, we help ensure every elder lives with the dignity, safety, and respect they deserve. We all have a role in protecting our elders. Together, we can break the silence and build a safer, more supportive community.

💜 Wear purple today to show your support.
