How do you feel about your feelings?
Understanding your meta-emotions (how you perceive your feelings) can make a difference in your ability to form strong, healthy bonds with others.
We all have an emotional history that stems from our upbringing. Someone who is generally comfortable with emotion will be able to support and validate their partner’s feelings, while also freely expressing their own sadness, fear, disappointment, and joy. By contrast, someone who grew up in an emotionally-dismissive environment may shut down when emotions come up in conversation.
On the Gottman Relationship Blog, Stacy Hubbard, LMFT offers tips to help you explore your emotional history and understand how it may impact your intimate conversations: https://bit.ly/3CFEFCF

Doors closing, windows opening and a beautiful new space in which to hear people's most meaningful stories. I'm grateful to be part of your journey.
In these uncertain times, while many of us are more isolated, disconnected or distressed, know that many insurance companies have enabled providers to provide telehealth services through different platforms or even though a simple telephone call. Keep yourselves mentally healthy and ask for support when needed! We have a short list of therapists ready to receive you through telehealth mediums and all of us are able to take BCBS.
Great to see our community embracing this very important topic! Let's get kids talking about mental health in their every day vocabulary!!

Join us this Wednesday and wear jeans to support Denim Day!
TW**
Denim Day began as a protest to the Italian courts, who ruled that because a young woman was wearing such tight jeans when she was sexually assaulted, she must have assisted her perpetrator in taking them off, thereby giving him consent. To show support for this young woman, people began to wear jeans in solidarity. This Wednesday, Help Restore Hope Center wears denim to show that sexual assault is NEVER the fault of the survivor, and clothing is NEVER equal to consent. 👖♥️
