Sometimes the biggest difference is not fancy.

It is just finally being able to see through the window again and enjoy the Nebraska sunshine!

This basement window had a pretty heavy layer of haze and buildup, and once the glass and screen were cleaned, the whole basement seemed brighter.

Clean glass helps. Clean screens help too. Skipping one usually means the other one does not get the full result.

A lot of the haze and grime on your windows is not just sitting on the glass like a normal problem. It gets trapped between the screen and the window, mixing with moisture, pollen, dust, and whatever else Nebraska decides to throw through the air that week.

According to his mom, he looks ridiculous in a cute, embarrassing kind of way. We think there is an emphasis on the cute part of it!

Teddy is giving strong “I was not consulted on this haircut” energy, but honestly, he is pulling it off better than most of us would.

This is Rip, and he runs a tight security operation. 🐾

UPS? Suspicious.
FedEx? Suspicious.
Window washers? Suspicious.

Rip takes his guard dog duties seriously and makes sure every visitor is properly announced, evaluated, and judged accordingly.

However, there does appear to be one weakness in his otherwise flawless security system: treats.

Once treats are involved, negotiations become much easier.

Strong bark.
Strong standards.
Strong snack policy.

Today’s Omaha’s Best Window Dogs feature is technically not a dog.

It is an entire chicken delegation. 🐔

These ladies were preparing for a big graduation party at the house, but unfortunately they were placed on temporary house arrest after a string of alleged crimes, including:
• Destroying mulch
• Eating plants
• Killing grass
• General yard based chaos
• Looking suspiciously proud of all of it

While we cleaned the windows, they remained under close supervision and appeared mostly unrepentant.

Honestly, strong personalities. Terrible landscapers.

Congratulations to the graduate, and thank you to the chickens for keeping the job site entertaining.

A simple Before & After.

Meet Bear and Roo... they brought very different but equally important energy to today’s job 🐾

Bear is the big guy, a 3 year old Aussie who loves frisbee, making friends, and apparently helping with employee morale. Very hands on management style.

Roo is a 7 year old toy Australian Shepherd who enjoys long walks, squeaky sloth toys, and looking like she knows exactly what is going on at all times.

Together, they made sure the crew stayed on task, accepted the appropriate amount of attention, and kept the job site running smoothly.

Strong supervisory team.

Spring in Nebraska: flowers bloom, lawns wake up, and birds start beefing with their own reflection like it owes them money.

If your windows suddenly look like this, you are probably dealing with territorial birds attacking the glass. They see their reflection, think it is another bird, and go full feathered psycho mode. The result is smears, marks, droppings, and sometimes even scratches if they keep hitting the same spot.

A few things that can help:
1) Put decals, tape strips, or temporary window cling patterns on the outside of the glass.
2) Move feeders or bird baths farther away from problem windows.
3) Close blinds or curtains partway during the most active times of day.
4) Try exterior screens if the window keeps getting targeted.

The good news is we can clean up the mess. The bad news is we cannot provide bird therapy.

This is Ernie, a 10-year-old black lab and full-time neighborhood surveillance specialist.

From the comfort of his living room chair, Ernie keeps a close eye on:
• Cars
• People
• Animals
• Anything that even thinks about passing by

His dedication to the job does occasionally result in nose and drool marks on the front windows… but honestly, that just keeps us in business.

He did bark at us when we first showed up, but the second we came inside, the job shifted from “pet me immediately.”
