The Fabric Lab in North Omaha is our flagship hub, serving as a dynamic gathering place for urban design conversations, hands-on workshops, and community-driven activations. It is a space where residents, designers, and local leaders come together to shape the built environment, experiment with new ideas, and develop projects that enhance North Omahaโs identity and livability.

Bike Walk Nebraska is doing trail counts this weekend and next week, and they're looking for volunteers. Training will be virtual and anyone can train by watching the 15M training video (you'll receive the link once you sign up). There are 9 trails part of their eMoto project that you can choose from. Sign up online at (https://bit.ly/4AviNJ0).
Materials Provided: clipboard, folder, count sheets, and contact cards
Items to Bring: something to sit on (or contact Taylor Sterba at [email protected] to borrow one)
All materials have to be returned, ideally, the next business day, or at least before the next count.

During Fall Fest, on the corner of 24th and Ohio St., our Fellow's Trail to Success event will be happening. It's a family friendly event with games and financial education, along with information about the North Omaha Trail. There will be candy & giveaways!

is coordinating a Trees for Tomorrow Tree Planting Event to plant over 100 trees at Adams Park and Fontenelle Park on Saturday, October 24th, and we are looking for planting volunteers!

All volunteers are welcome, but please take into consideration the physical demands of this event. Volunteers will be asked to bend, lift, walk, kneel and use tools such as shovels and rakes. Volunteers under the age of 19 will need to be accompanied by an adult and can be registered along with the supervising adult. CROWNED (Creating Rooms Our Women Need Every Day) is providing community support group where women facing challenges of any kind can be heard, feel supported, and get access to resources.
This Sunday, September 27 from 6-8PM at the Fabric Lab (2514 N 24th St 68110), join us for a dedicated time and safe space to address our mental well-being.
Free for women of all ages.

Our Fellows, Ashley and Gail, co-led Trails to Success last Saturday. This event provided help and financial legal support to those in need of trusts and homestead information for our elderly community. Our community members left this event with enough information to make necessary changes to protect their grandparents and family assets.
