Dog Gone Problems

Duke the Lab mix just started Puppy Elementary this month and was ready to take his classwork very seriously!

This smart boy got top marks for the “go to the dog bed” lesson and was clearly ready to show off his new skills.

Way to go, Duke!

Puppy class graduate Hoshi the Cavapoo is the newest member of our low volume dog daycare!

Hoshi is a high energy dog who needed some friends to play with during the day.

Since passing her eval, Hoshi has already made several new friends in the small breed room at our doggy daycare on west center.

We still have a few spots before our small breed daycare room is full.

Bella the Mini Dachshund gave us the ultimate puppy face for her school picture!

This cutie pie is doing a great job learning some new tricks and building confidence along the way. She's a star student in Puppy Elementary.

Rosie the Yellow Lab was certainly vocal during the first part of her Puppy Elementary class!

We shared some tips with her guardians for curbing her demand barking, and Rosie responded to the new approach very well.

Ozzy the German Shepherd was so excited for his first week of Puppy High School!

Ozzy started out a little timid in his earlier puppy classes, but this handsome boy has grown more confident with every class. It’s wonderful to see how much he’s blossomed and how excited he is to keep learning.

Ths is Ernie. He is one of the Ridglan Farms Beagles who was rescued from an animal testing labratory in Wisconsin.

Activists raided the facility and rescued hundreds of Beagles like Ernie from inhumane tests (surgery with no anesthesia and worse).

As a result of his horrible past, Ernie is anxious in new situations and around new people so we have gone very slow with him.

We had Ernie's mom drop him off for short visits and gradually built up his confidence being in a new place.

As a low volume dog daycare we have the ability to give him the extra love and support he needs.

He is learning how to be a dog, getting lots of love and support from the staff and wonderful examples of dog life from our member dogs.

After a handful of visits, Ernie has started to run with the other dogs, play with toys and ask for pets.

Small steps take time, but we are pateint because Ernie deserves it.

Sage the Silver Lab may be the highest-energy puppy in our Puppy Elementary classes this month!

We shared some tips to help Sage’s mom channel all that energy and also complimented her on the wonderful patience she’s shown throughout the process.

Meet Nala, a sweet Drent puppy!

Drentse Patrijshonds are a pretty unusual breed and are often mistaken for Springer Spaniels. Nala certainly gives us a great opportunity to meet a breed that isn’t seen in puppy class very often!

This energetic girl loves to play, so she’s definitely in the right class. With all that energy and enthusiasm, Nala is sure to have a great time learning and making new puppy friends!
