The causes of Engine overheating is one of the most common and dangerous problems your vehicle can face. If not taken care of in time, it can cause serious and costly damage. But don't worry, today I explain to you the most common causes of this problem so you can identify it in time and avoid complications.
✅️1. Damaged Water Pump
The water pump is like the "heart" of the cooling system. Its function is to circulate the coolant (antifreeze) through the engine and the radiator.
👉if this pump fails, the coolant does not move properly, which causes the engine not to cool down and ends up overheating. It can be damaged by wear, leak or just stop working.
✅️2. Faulty Thermostat
The thermostat regulates the temperature of the engine, opening or closing to let the coolant pass through when necessary.
👉if it is closed for a fault, it prevents the coolant from circulating, and that causes the engine to quickly rise in temperature.
✅️3. Faulty Radiator Cap
Although it seems like a simple piece, the radiator cap is very important. Maintains the right pressure inside the cooling system.
👉if this cap is damaged or does not seal well, it can cause a coolant leak or a drop in pressure, causing the engine to overheat more than normal.
✅️4. Low Coolant Level (antifreeze)
This liquid is the one that absorbs the heat of the engine and takes it to the radiator to cool.
👉if your car has little coolant, either because of a leak or because it hasn't been filled for a long time, you won't be able to control the engine temperature, which will inevitably cause overheating.
✅️5. The Radiator Fan is Damaged
This fan helps cool the radiator when the vehicle is stopped or moving at low speeds.
👉if the fan does not turn on, the heat quickly accumulates and the engine can be overheated, especially in traffic or under strong sun.
✅️6. Clogged Radiator
A clogged Radiator overheats your car's engine and reduces its performance, which can damage other engine components.

They did it again!
Mercedes-AMG is developing a new high-tech, electrified V-8 engine as the natural successor to the M178, set to debut on the AMG.EA platform. While exact specs are still under wraps, AMG suggests this engine will exceed the 720 hp output of the GT Black Series, deliver sharper throttle response, and meet upcoming Euro 7 efficiency standards.
