Nebraska AAP members participated today in the Nebraska Advocates for Child Health Day at the Capitol. They spoke with lawmakers and observed committee hearings.

Vitamin D is crucial for supporting children’s bone health and immune systems—especially during the cold winter months! The AAP recommends that all children begin receiving vitamin D supplements shortly after birth. Measles is highly contagious, and the best method of prevention is vaccination. Live particles of the measles virus can live in the air long after an infected person leaves the room, meaning anyone in crowded spaces can come in contact with the virus.
