MYTH: “Red cars cost more to insure.”
TRUTH: Your car’s make, model, repair costs, your driving history, and mileage are what affects your rate.

However: tri-coat or multi-stage paint systems are trickier and costlier to repair. So yes… your neon green chameleon Jeep could actually cost more to insure than your sporty convertible... but not because of the presence or absence of any shade of red. 🚙💚🚘
