Cedar Tree Native Law would like to recognize the National Day of Awareness for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Relatives. Native women, girls, trans and two-spirit relatives continue to be disproportionally at risk of falling victim to violence and abduction.

According to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center the murder rate of indigenous women is 10 times the US national average and in 2024 there were 10,248 missing indigenous persons reports filed with the FBI. Of those reports 95% have not been covered by the mainstream media, according to the Urban Indian Health Institute.

The continued crisis of violence against indigenous women, girls, trans and two-spirit relatives can no longer remain unaddressed. There is no justice in ignorance nor in a failing system meant to protect.

Join us today as we call for justice, visibility and safety for all our relatives across turtle island and as we pray for those who have yet to make it home.

Additionally, please join us by dressing in red as a symbol of solidarity with our relatives.
