I’ve been coming to Alliance for the past few years to support local business owners, and The Brickhouse Gym is always at the top of my list. Every evening workout here brings great energy, quality equipment, and the perfect atmosphere to push through a powerful weight session. And Buddy’s enthusiastic greeting makes every visit even better!

Nikki has built something truly special—a welcoming, high-energy fitness destination that’s become a standout gem in the community. Whether you’re a local business owner looking for a great place to train or a dedicated gym-goer ready to take your workouts to the next level, The Brickhouse Gym is absolutely worth the visit. It’s one of the best places to get a pump in the state. Keep up the incredible work, Nikki!

Did you know that starting a gym was never in my plans? The Brickhouse Gym was built out of necessity. I needed a larger facility to train my clients. From the day I made the decision to build a gym business to actual opening day, was only a 5 month time frame.

Buddy was also never a part of my plan. He showed up in my life when I wasn't expecting it and inadvertently became the gym dog.

Sometimes the best things in life are the unplanned. ❤️

So grateful for Buddy, the gym, and all of you. 🫶

Alliance, let’s make progress on your business ideas!

Stop by Box Butte Development Corporation today or tomorrow, September 29–30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-in office hours. Bring a question, an idea, or just your curiosity—no appointment needed.

Somewhere between the first conversation in July 2020 and the thousands of miles since, SourceLink Nebraska became one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. Reading this feature from SourceLink brought back the early questions, the people who believed in what we were building, and the days when progress was hard to see.

Then I think about sitting across from an entrepreneur who has a dream but doesn’t know where to start. Being someone they can turn to, and helping them find people who care about their next step, makes every mile worth it.

Brandy Tarpley, Jamie Bright, and Alan Martinez, thank you for helping me build this program. You helped turn those early conversations into something that now reaches people across Nebraska.

Thank you to Rob Williams and the entire SourceLink team for sharing this story and for being such an important part of it. To NBDC, UNO, Nebraska Extension, and our partners across the state: I’m grateful for the trust, knowledge, and heart you bring to this work.

We’ve come a long way since July 2020. And somewhere in Nebraska, someone is gathering the courage to take their first step. That’s why we keep building.

We build trust. We open doors. We honor the dream.
