Denise finished one of our favorite patterns, the Reba Cowl, using Berroco Yarn Sesame. Easy to wear and looks gorgeous! We love it, Denise!

Lyn continues doing such a great job on her knitting journey. She took the Hemlock Sweater class this Spring and finished her sweater in record time. The yarn is Summer Sesame from Berroco Yarn and is so bright and cheerful! We love it, Lyn! 🧡❤️🧡

Today is World Wide Knit in Public Day. Feel free to bring a chair, water, a project and gather together in front of the shop (weather permitting) from 10 am - Noon.

Please note: the shop will close at 2 pm today, Saturday, June 13th.

We’re heading down to Brownville, NE, for our annual knitting/crocheting trip at the River Inn Resort. Join us there at 5 pm for fun, fellowship and making. It’s a short drive and you don’t have to stay overnight. As there is no river cruise available this year, we’re doing a “carry-in” supper. Bring a salad or dessert to share. We’ll have the plates, napkins, utensils, waters, etc.

If the weather cooperates, we’ll sit outside on the upper deck. If not, we’ll use the dining room area to knit/crochet.

We’d love to have you join in! Brownville is such a quaint town. Go early and check it out.

Check out these Izzy Dolls. Aren’t they the cutest?!! 😍😍 We started making Izzy Dolls as another giving project. The first gifting is for a mission trip to El Salvador.

Several of you have brought in your Izzy Dolls and one batch has already been delivered to prepare for the trip to El Salvador.

To others making the Izzy Dolls, if you would like to gift them to the mission trip, please bring them to the shop BY Saturday, June 27th.

Last night was the kickoff of The Heel and Toe Society. It was a smashing success! The shop was filled with people who love to knit socks and want to meet up with others who love to knit socks, too.

This is a once-a-month meet-up group to knit on socks, share ideas, celebrate successes and have fun knitting. Want to join is? Just give the shop a call.

We’ve got a great group of tweens/teens in the WIP (Works in Progress) Society. These young people meet up every Friday from 4 - 6 pm. They are wonderful makers! Here are a couple of their recent finishes:

Elsie created a super fun blanket by creating her own pattern. She crocheted a corner to corner moss stitch pattern, outlined the blanket with a granny square border and made flowers to embellish the blanket and finish it off. We love the bright vibrant colors used. Yarn is Spirit DK.

Aya crocheted this beautiful top out of Bamboo Pop. She followed a video by Laura Cepeda on how to crochet an asymmetrical flower top. Didn’t it turn out amazing??!!

Day two (yarn market) is done. We’ve walked a thousand miles looking for new treasures to bring to the shop for you! (Not really, but our bodies may think so!😆)

Next, we’d like to introduce you to a new brand in our shop: Stop in to see these gorgeous colors created by a dad/daughter team in Iowa. We are sooo excited to have them!!

As you are aware, Mother’s Day is this Sunday. We’ve put together some beautiful “kit” options for you. Choose one for your mom (or even for yourself!). 💐💕🧶 We’ll even provide the tissue and bag for gift-giving!
