Windows and flashing details play a critical role in keeping water out of a building. When these components are not properly installed or begin to fail, moisture can find its way into the wall assembly.
A forensic evaluation looks at transitions, sealants, and flashing integration to determine where breakdowns occurred and how to address them effectively.

When a tree impacts a structure, the damage can extend beyond what is immediately visible. From roof and framing impacts to potential foundation or load path concerns, understanding how the force was transferred through the building is key.
A detailed evaluation helps identify structural effects, hidden damage, and the appropriate next steps for repair.

Lightning strikes can cause more than just immediate damage. From electrical system failures to hidden impacts on building components, a strike can affect multiple systems at once.
A thorough forensic evaluation helps identify the extent of the damage, trace the path of the strike, and determine what repairs are necessary to restore safe and reliable performance.

Strong winds can place significant stress on roof systems, sometimes leading to uplift and displacement of materials. When this occurs, it’s important to evaluate how the system was installed, how it performed under load, and whether underlying conditions contributed to the failure. Understanding wind related impacts helps identify vulnerabilities and supports effective repair and mitigation strategies moving forward.

Downspouts play a key role in moving water away from a building, but when they are disconnected, undersized, or improperly directed, water can end up right where it shouldn’t be. Poor drainage at discharge points can lead to erosion, foundation moisture issues, and long-term performance concerns. Evaluating how and where water is discharged is an important part of understanding the bigger picture.

We’re excited to be working with Fairbury Public Schools on the roof replacement project for the historic 1947 Administration Building!
Our team was recently on site gathering existing conditions and performing a comprehensive 3D laser scan of the facility to create a detailed point cloud model for design. Utilizing advanced scanning technology allows us to capture accurate building data, improve coordination, and streamline the design process for renovation projects like this one.
We appreciate the opportunity to assist Fairbury Public Schools and look forward to helping preserve and improve this important community facility.
