Heartland Avian Rescue Project

Meet Gadget and Gizmo!

Introducing Bubba!

Good morning, friends! ☀️☕️

We have some fun weekend plans and would love for you to join us! Tomorrow, Saturday, June 27th, from 5:00 to 7:00-ish PM, we’ll be hanging out at Full Fledged Brewing Co. 🍻

As we wrap up our time as their Worthy Cause Amber recipients for the first half of 2026, we’ll be set up inside the brewery with educational materials, ready to chat about all things parrots! 🦜✨

We also have a very special guest joining us: Louie the Umbrella Cockatoo! 🤍 Louie was a part of our very first intake (of 8 parrots!) in March of 2024. He was adopted several months later, and has been thriving ever since! Don't worry, Louie (and his wonderful human!) were invited because he absolutely loves the hustle and bustle and meeting new people. He’ll likely be hanging out with us from 5:00 until about 6:00 PM, so be sure to come by early if you’d like to see how great he's doing and say hello!

Come pull up a chair, grab a b**r (or a delicious non-alcoholic beverage) to support Full Fledged, and say hi! If you order a Worthy Cause Amber, a portion goes directly to supporting our mission, too.

We truly love talking about parrots and connecting with our amazing community, so come see us! We can't wait to catch up! 👋❤️

Hey, it's Monday Fun-day!

Happy Friday, everyone!

It’s true! This is why require a home visit!

Hello parrot friends! We wanted to let you know of a partnership we have with Full Fledged Brewing Company in Council Bluffs, Iowa! Until June, their are donating a percent of the proceeds of their Award Winning Worthy Cause Amber to the parrots! Stop in and see our poster with some of our foster birds, and have a drink for a worthy cause- HARP!

Full Fledged has a lot for everyone, including b**r, cocktails, and a lot of non-alcoholic options as well. They have a dog friendly patio, and are family friendly!

We will also have an event at the brewery- more details to come the closer we get to June. We would love you to support not only us, but a local small business!

Sweet Missy, the female eclectus, is getting antsy waiting for her forever home! We thought we would remind everyone of all the great things about Missy -- and to sweeten the pot, we are lowering her adoption fee (which includes her cage) to $220! Interested?
