Our next BEST WISHES goes to Mrs. Girvan, one of our Special Instruction teachers. Mrs. Girvan split her time between us and Dundee Elementary. She quickly built relationships with students and staff and will be missed! We wish her all the best as she continues her career as an educator in Special Education.

Did you know this dynamic duo is moving on from Harrison?

Mrs Quackenbush has been at Harrison for 18 years- teaching 1st and 3rd grades. She’s moving on to become a Reading Coordinator.
Ms. Goodrich has been at Harrison for 11 years- teaching 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. She’s moving on to pursue other endeavors.

We are sad to see them go, but wish them the best of luck in everything that comes their way. Remember- Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger! 💙🧡💙🧡

The end of the school year was a busy one. During that time, Omaha Public Schools Board Member, Mr. Nick Thielen, joined us to present 5yr increment certificates.
Congratulations to Mrs. Loberg on 5 years with OPS and Ms. Choquette on 20 years with OPS! We appreciate both of you!

2nd and 3rd grades spent their last morning at The Durham Museum. What a great hands-on learning activity to finish out the year!

First grade spent part of their last day at Metcalfe Park. The morning was full of energy, laughter, and smiles as the closed the books on 1st grade and are now ready for 2nd grade!

Congratulations to our Harrison Elementary Physical Education All-Star students for 4th Quarter- Thatcher Lerdahl and Olivia Marquez. These students are being recognized for outstanding sportsmanship, hard work, master of skills, and having a positive attitude everyday in Physical Education class. Way to go, tigers!

Today was a day of celebrations at Harrison! Both our 6th graders and Kindergarteners had their graduation ceremonies to commemorate the year.
We wish best of luck to our 6th graders as the move on to middle school. Remember- Once a tiger, always a tiger. We will miss you!
To our Kindergarteners- You’ve got 1 year under your belts. Keep working hard to be your best Harrison self!

Cooler temps, along with wet and muddy conditions, did not stop our Harrison Tigers from having a BLAST today at our annual Field Day! Mr. Riffner outdid himself again with some great activities! Thank you to all who helped facilitate each station in order for everyone to participate and have things run smoothly!

As a reminder, NO BACKPACKS are allowed at school tomorrow, per district policy. Everything is being sent home today!
