Cake Drip

And just like that…. It’s over.

Today, I made the last Cake Drip cake. This has been a hard decision that’s come over for weeks and weeks of playing out all the options. It is sad, but it is necessary.

Cake Drip started at a time when my life was in upheaval, and the support I received has been absolutely life changing. Running a business that kept my kids fed, that grew my confidence, that helped me find my own foothold in the world, is something I never would have imagined when it all began. I am eternally grateful for all the life this has given me.

Unfortunately the last two years has also been incredibly hard, and as I watched something I love grow wildly out of my control, I was no longer able to love it like I did. Not being able to fully commit to everything in my life has been heartbreaking. But I am also weary of spreading myself so thin that other things in my life suffer. My kids, my art, my personal growth. And so, at the end of the day, something had to go.

I cannot thank you all enough for your orders, your referrals, and your encouragement. I would have never made it through these two years without Cake Drip, and consequently, without you. I will forever be humbly grateful.

Maybe you’ll see some new cakes here in the future. I’m not sure yet.

But for the foreseeable future, Cake Drip is ON VACATION.
