I’m doing some writing this morning…

For the love of all things life, love, and sacred, can we stop pathologizing adaptations? What would happen if we started honoring and celebrating the intelligence of our adaptations? (Actually, I have answers to that)

I have been a human my whole life. I have all the credentials to back it up. I have been humaning, adapting, therapying, therapisting, witnessing.

I have gone to all the crevices, folds, black holes, and in between. And I’ve been on the journey of no problems to solve.

If you point out that I have a block, here are some of the responses I might be feeling:
“Duh.”
“I know, isn’t she wise?”
“I don’t see a problem here.”
“Thank you for witnessing. And thank you for stopping by.”

This being developed a banana peel as an adaptation. How do you feel towards this banana peel? I bet there’s a part of you that wants to move the banana peel. But, you probably can’t see the walnut that the banana peel is protecting.

So what if we just love the banana peel? We stay in awe of the fact that this banana peel showed up on a metal sphere. How in the world did that happen?! And we just continue to be with it, witness, and not ask it to go away. And eventually the banana peel falls away. The system starts to feel it can be in all of it’s metalness and spaciousness. The banana peel falls away, the walnut disappears. In all the spaciousness, the different materials are absorbed into beingness.

I am for sure coming out with a book of new verbs.

My work in the world is non-pathologizing. It’s rooted in the wisdom of the body, the soul, and all parts. I show up without judgement and without agenda. I have noticed over the years that sharing these words only goes so far. The words don’t land in the body. These things must be felt to be trusted.

We are seeped in a culture that tells us there is a problem to solve at every turn. That our body, our way of being is a problem to solve. It is profitable for there to be problems. I have intentionally trained, practiced, and felt my way through another paradigm. I show up with a spaciousness that can’t be explained, only felt. This has made my work difficult to grasp, until it is felt.

Whenever I began with a new client there would be a consultation. From consult to post session everyone always came to a realization that our conversation never could have explained what they just experienced/felt. Which was some kind of connection to their SELF.

I create the space for you to feel yourself, in a way you might have never experienced before. I am owning it because it is one of my gifts. And one that I have sacrificed everything to hone and nourish. And I love it. I love being the spaciousness that allows you to feel yourself.

When you feel yourself you bring more of your truth and your gifts through. It has a ripple into the world around you. There’s an alignment and flow with your decisions, your relationships, your expression.

Real talk in nature….I’ve been in nervous system/trauma/bodymind world for 15 years. Walking humans through their bodies, experiences, stories. Regulation is not the goal. Authenticity is. Capacity and resiliency is. Flow. Living. The ability to flow with all experiences and find center again. And sometimes it’s messy, not regulated, and expressive in a way that makes others uncomfortable. Our job is to be authentic anyway. At times we will be brought to our edges for growth, and trying to force regulation can sneakily end up as suppression. Suppression of authenticity, your expansion, your gifts. I’m around if you want to chat. ✨🌿
