Procession "Wrap" Postponed
No load-out or Creature roll-out this weekend

Thank you everyone ~ For your positive patience!

Unfortunately: This past Tuesday, I was informed by the County that Earthbound needed to apply for a "Lease Excise Tax Nonprofit Exemption" through the WA State Dept of Revenue (DOR) before our Procession storage lease contract with the County could be processed. However, my in-person efforts to confirm written administrative approval of our Form 63-0001 submission by today, Friday, proved unsuccessful; we are in the queue for a response on Monday.

Fortunately: We have the assurances of the County that the storage space remains available and that the County is committed to our occupancy once our contract meets all their legal requirements. (Much appreciation here!)

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience of this scheduling delay.

We’re retrieving the Big Stuff on Friday!

On Friday, 4/17, we must retrieve all of our floats and big critters from storage. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. We will all assemble at the gate into the old Olympia Brewery Tumwater Valley warehouse complex (Capitol Blvd. & β€œE” St.) by 1:00PM on Friday. Tumwater staff will unlock the gate at 1:00PM; we must be there on time to get in.

We’ll need a bunch of folks to help move them, and especially trucks and trailers. If you have a truck or trailer to help with the move, please email us at [email protected]. Either way, please show up at the gated entrance to the old Olympia Brewery warehouse complex at 1:00PM on Friday.

Directions:
β€’ We will all meet at the gated entrance to the old Olympia Brewery complex at 1:00PM on Friday, 4/17. The entrance is directly across Capitol Blvd. from Western Meats and Pints Barn, at the intersection of Capitol Blvd. & β€œE” St. SE.
β€’ City of Tumwater staff will unlock the gate at the bridge over the Deschutes River, and let us into the warehouse.
β€’ We will then bring all the floats and critters (this may take 2 trips) to our staging and repair site, under the awning behind the downtown YMCA, on 5th and Plum.

Sorry for the short notice and the weekday call-up, but we have no choice. This is our window to wake our Big Critters from their long hibernation, and get them repaired, spiffed up and re-glittered in time for the Procession. Please join us!
