Puget View Cottage

Puget View is a one bedroom vacation rental cabin on Puget Sound, on the outskirts of Lacey and Olympia, next to Tolmie State Park.

Puget View Cottage is an intimate "get away" located on the south shore of beautiful Puget Sound. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, the view is stunning any time of year, the beach is nearly deserted and nearby Tolmie State Park is a great place for a short stroll or an exercise hike. It is located 5 minutes north of I-5 and 15 minutes from down town Olympia.

Look what set up shop in front of our place today. In the 1970s and 80s artificial reefs made of old tires were put on the bottom of the Puget sound in many places with the hopes of creating habitat for fish on the flat mud bottoms. It is now believed that that was folly as they apparently are ineffective and are falling apart. What we see here is a project to remove them in the next two weeks from the bottom of the Puget Sound at Tolmie State Park. Our view is always changing and often very interesting!!
