There has been some chatter, and news coverage about the Emergency Clause that was added to SB 5038. Here is what that means, and what an Emergency Clause actually does:

As expected, SB 5038 was pulled from Rules today, and the plan is for the House to bring it to the floor for a vote on Sunday.

Please email your two House members before Sunday, politely asking that they vote against SB 5038.

Information I have is that SB 5038 will be pulled from Rules on Friday, and scheduled for a vote of the House on Sunday.

The best thing we can do on Friday is call the members of the Rules Committee, politely asking that they oppose SB 5038.
