For those who do not know, (FDM) named me as a Brand Ambassador with a Cause for 2024; BA-DD for 2024 (Brand Ambassador for Deaf Dogs). As a deaf dog model, I am honored to have this platform to advocate for deaf dogs; spread awareness about deaf dogs and deaf dog training; and most importantly highlight deaf dogs in shelters and rescues so we can get them to furever homes where they can thrive and live their best lives.

Starting today and on the last of each month, I will introduce you to a deaf dog who is up for adoption. I encourage you to spread kindness for special needs dogs by sharing these posts to your pages or stories and with friends who are looking to add a furry member to their family. Deaf dogs are smart, loving, and make great companions. And Deaf Dogs Hear Kindness! 💖

Today, I am highlighting Cheyenne who is currently living at Deaf Dogs of America in California. This rescue was the recipient of the proceeds of our Furdrobe Bow Raffle during Deaf Dog Awareness Week last year and so it is special to start with one of their rescues. I am wearing my Furdrobe Tiffany Dreams VIP bow which I believe matches the color of Cheyenne’s eyes and a custom made outfit from ➡️ to see Cheyenne’s lovely picture; information about Cheyenne; and information about the resuce and link to submit an adoption application.

While researching various options to help others find a way to raise money for their pets OR to help so many amazing organizations who need to raise funds to help pets - I found waggle!!!

Its no secret I’m not a fan of go fund me -

➡️GoFund-Me takes a percentage - 2.9% plus .30 per transaction - (remember tax laws!! if people donate and receive something for it (a gift, think raffle etc) its then taxable! )

➡️Paypal will send 100% as long as the money is sent family/personal. (to whoever is collecting -)

➡️Waggle is the best of both worlds!!! You set up a campaign, (like go fund me) hopefully your vet participates (they can join anytime) and 100% of collected money goes directly to pay down the vet bills!!!!
Downside? Right now theres a $2000 cap. I cant think of any procedure for a pet today under 2k -

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Pet guardians seek care for their pets. Owner or rescue brings their pet to the veterinary practice for care but soon finds out that the treatment cost is unaffordable.

2. Pet owner or rescue/shelter learns about Waggle. The resources are free to individuals and organizations that are committed to sharing their pet campaigns on social media.

3. Pet owner or rescue/shelter submits the pet’s profile to Waggle. Required information includes the veterinarian’s contact info, treatment estimate, and pet guardian’s page.

4. A team of professional writers creates the pet’s story using information submitted and posts at Waggle.org. Simple and easy to use tools and templates help pet owners and rescue/shelters tell and share their story in a compelling and effective way.

5. Waggle’s network of donors becomes involved.One hundred percent of donations are used to fund the patient’s care.

6. Donors receive patient’s update. The guardian or rescue/shelter submits post-treatment updates on the pet so Waggle can share it with its generous donors.

Let’s talk about the XL Bully Ban that goes into effect tonight in the UK and Wales. It’s awful. Imagine having your best friend, family member, and soul dog ripped away from you for absolutely no reason?

R***r’s Rescues’ President and Founder is a lifelong XL Bully owner and advocate. R***r, the namesake of the rescue, was a 105-pound Pit Bull/Mastiff. She currently has 2 XL Bullies at home. She’s horrified about what’s happening in the UK and Wales and is passionate about helping as much as possible.

To that end, R***r’s Rescues wants to help a few XL Bully owners pay for their Certificates of Exemption, microchips, and even insurance policies, that may otherwise not be able to afford it and would lose their best friend.

We don’t have a ton of funds as donations have been at an all-time low this year, but what we do have we would like to provide to XL Bully owners that desperately need the assistance.

Just applying for the Certificate of Exemption is about $100. Microchips are about $15. That doesn’t include a mandatory spay/neuter surgery which can run between $100-300. PLUS, there’s the cost of a $2 million insurance policy! Saving your pup from this ban is VERY expensive and HAS to be completed in 30 days.

This is HUGELY important; our most important fundraiser yet. Time is of the essence! Even $1 helps. Can you give $1 today to literally save a life of an innocent pup that would be killed solely because of their breed?

friends lets not forget what this season is about.
it wasnt that long ago that people gave to HEMI instead if buying a christmas card or a gift. Every dollar helped - I can remember feeling so helpless - how could I ever afford his vet bills? THEN this amazing community came to his rescue. i vowed i would always pay it forward.

please give - anything - if we all gave just $1.00 - $5.00 imagine what we could do!!! share - pray. lets make a christmas wish come true!!!!

Dear friends we are still trying to raise funds to pay for Hazels chemotherapy and after care. We know it’s a rotten time of year to ask for donations, anything helps, even just sharing.
