Teaching children what it feels like to have a disability should take place in all schools. Last week I participated in Diverse learners day in Matawan and it was a great day!
I couldn't agree more with the amazing Dr. Temple Grandin. True story- a few years ago I actually spoke to Temple Grandin on the phone as a fellow advocate. She encouraged me to keep getting "real world", life and job experiences. She has very powerful insight into the world of autism. It's a conversation I will never forget!

Autism and Tourette’s are both part of who I am. Everyone deserves understanding, acceptance and inclusion.

Today was my last assembly of the school year at Constable Elementary School in South Brunswick, and honestly, it couldn’t have ended on a better note. What made it even more amazing was that Mrs. Kociolek, the art teacher, found out about my work through my mom and wrote for and received a grant from TCNJ to visit their school. At the end of the assembly, a student with autism came up to meet me. He was so excited and made my day to connect with him.
Do you have a school you would like that you would like to see me at next year. Please comment so we can reach out....

Had an incredible day at ALL IN for Inclusive Education — an inspiring keynote, the excitement of presenting my new workshop, and even a surprise visit from my former middle school case manager. Cherí Roland Golub I ended the afternoon listening to the story of Cole the Deaf Dog, whose journey has inspired so many children to learn about disabilities. I was struck by how his owner began presenting organically, just like I did. He adopted a deaf dog that became the hearts of so many students. Our paths have so many similarities, and hearing their story reminded me how powerful unexpected beginnings can be. Cole the Deaf Dog- The Team Cole Project

This Thursday at the ALL IN for Inclusive Education conference, I’ll be debuting a new presentation I’m excited to share. If you’ll be attending, I believe you’ll find my workshop both insightful and inspiring. Looking forward to reconnecting with those I have met before as well as new participants throughout the conference.
