He teaches “Basic Smartphone" , "Birds of Michiana" and "Macro Photography" at libraries and camera shops in Michigan & Indiana. Pope is an adjunct instructor of photography at Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI. He has also taught photography classes through the Adult Continuing Educational Program at the Kellogg Center at Michigan State University. Wayne also leads a variety of Photography Workshops throughout Michigan and Indiana.

Wayne Richard Pope Photography will be teaching a 3-week course entitled, "Urban Photography" at Lake Superior State University Library in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan Fridays, July 31, August 7 & August 14, 2026 from 6-9pm. Cost: $120. This course will include lectures, field trips to historic sites such as; Soo Locks, Tower of History, Museum Ship Valley Camp & downtown Sautl Ste. Marine!

Gene's Camera in South Bend, Indiana will be hosting my "Macro Photography" workshop on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00-11:30am. Topics include: Cameras, lenses & equipment; magnification ratios; lighting techniques; manual focus & focus stacking; depth-of-field control; rules of composition; tethering a camera to a laptop computer; post-processing. Cost: $40.
