He teaches “Basic Smartphone" , "Birds of Michiana" and "Macro Photography" at libraries and camera shops in Michigan & Indiana. Pope is an adjunct instructor of photography at Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI. He has also taught photography classes through the Adult Continuing Educational Program at the Kellogg Center at Michigan State University. Wayne also leads a variety of Photography Workshops throughout Michigan and Indiana.

Gene's Camera in South Bend, Indiana will be hosting my "Macro Photography" workshop on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00-11:30am. Topics include: Cameras, lenses & equipment; magnification ratios; lighting techniques; manual focus & focus stacking; depth-of-field control; rules of composition; tethering a camera to a laptop computer; post-processing. Cost: $40.
