Getting final images back from a wedding always makes us smile. Today we are excited to share Laurel and Vivek's gorgeous wedding at The Grand Ledge Opera House. We've been lucky to work with so many amazing couples over the years, but this was our first Indian wedding. They choose to celebrate both cultures with an Indian ceremony and a American reception. As the end of the weekend has wrapped up, self care has been on my mind quite a bit. This has been our first really busy at Pixie Dust Events and balancing work and life has definitely been a challenge this year. But we've had some pretty amazing couples and have had the opportunity to assist some of our favorite local planners this summer (I'm looking at you guys - , , , , ). Which we are so thankful for!
•
Here are a few of my self care tips:
•
1.Drink Lots of Water & Take Your Vitamins - When I'm feeling a little run down I always start taking my immune boosters (Vitamin C, Kyolic and Propolis are a few of my favs). I also pretty much swear by Lemon Balm and Rescue Remedy for when I'm feeling particularly anxious about a situation and I took it all the time when I competed.

2.Get Some Sleep - I know this one is tough, especially when you have a million things to do. But trying to be creative when you're tired never works out well. I try to go to bed by midnight if I can and there's no shame in taking a nap if you're trying to fight burn out.

3.Give Yourself a Break - I personally find that negative thoughts are not something that ever help me when I'm in a tough mental space. Being kind to yourself and setting realistic expectations is key!
