We visited whats referred to as the "Darkest place in Florida" Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park.

There was so much wide open land and it's referred to as the darkest place in FL because there is very little light pollution from houses, buildings and it's very far from any city. It's easily a 25+ minute drive to the closest gas station and about 45+ minutes to a simple dollar general type store.

The night sky was hard to capture on camera, but being there and seeing just how many stars there are twinkling in the dark sky is so hard to comprehend. I know when we venture out west we will see this more and more, but right now this is the first time Neil and I have experienced this and it was fascinating to look at.

When we arrived and got set up, we were greeted by a dozen turkeys that walked right by us. Skye was of course intrigued and curious, we also saw deer, squirrels, and possibly a Hog but it was dark. Skye's getting quite the enrichment of wild animals to add to her portfolio sightings. We only had one night here to experience this, and we made the best of it. It's very hard to get into this campground for multiple days and i grabbed a filler spot last minute that thankfully worked perfectly into our travel plans.

Our latest adventure was taking a hike to Todd creek falls in central, SC. Skye, our Husky for those of you that have not meant her yet, just turned 3 a few weeks ago, every time we try to take her photo lately we get this new Side pose 🤷🏻‍♀️ so we have decided to call it (Skye’s side profile) this was also a nice one of her sticking her tongue out at me!
