She is the widow of the renowned chemist, Alexander “Sasha” Shulgin, who had a license from the DEA to essentially invent new psychedelic compounds and test them on himself, synthesizing over 230 new psychoactive compounds in the process, including 2C-B. Together, they co-wrote two classic psychedelic books, PIHKAL: A Chemical Love Story and TIHKAL: The Continuation, detailing those substances, including their own rating scale to judge the personal effects."

•Man and His Symbols

"Alchemy" otherwise known as "Spiritual Alchemy" in English!; is pretty interesting stuff of study. The symbols and what they mean / represent & actually following through with the study of it & learning more about it as you go along, is a pretty fun process.
I'vebeen spending a couple of years on it and it's just interesting when you're bored you read up on it and what the philosophy behind it actually stands for makes it extremely easy lost in another Universe altogether!
It's crazy to think that like this spiritual / scientific ideology is pretty much the basis of all modern science (maybe not mathematics) but definitely THE modern Sciences as we know them today, simply put.

(A lot of highly spiritual people and members of those communities like to make the connection with Alchemy and the ancient city of Atlantis as well as a bunch of other ancient civilizations and the connection between Alchemy or The Emerald Tablets of Thoth and Khem Society --basically Ancient Egypt)

I don't believe that my specific beliefs on you know whether Atlantis existed or not as important but definitely worth sharing the ideas of Alchemy. Highly suggest you look into it.
