You could be wasting water without even realizing it! Some of the most common ways people lose water are:

- Watering during the heat of the day
- Ignoring broken sprinkler heads and leaks
- Running sprinklers too often or too long
- Spraying sidewalks, driveways and streets

Save water by checking to see if you are falling into one of these sprinkler mistakes.

The best time to water your lawn is between 4:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Please avoid watering in the middle of the day between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

By watering at these times, it reduces evaporation and allows the water to reach the roots of your grass where it’s most needed.

✅ Water only when your lawn needs it; a healthy lawn doesn’t always need a strict daily watering schedule

✅ Water deeply, not daily; fewer, longer watering sessions encourage deeper roots and a more drought-resistant lawn

✅ Aerate; aeration allows water to pe*****te deeper into the roots and improves efficiency

A healthy lawn isn’t necessarily a thirsty lawn. By making small adjustments you can reduce your water usage while keeping your yard happy.

💦 Water lawns and gardens in the late evening and early morning hours
