In 2013, my family lost our cousin Amber to cancer. In the midst of that heartache, my sister, Emilee, poured her grief into writing a beautiful song called Poinsettia as a way to process the loss. Today, our sweet Emilee is the one facing an unimaginable battle after being seriously injured in a car accident, and she needs our help.
To honor her and help ease the overwhelming financial burden of her hospital stay and medical care, we recorded our own rendition of Poinsettia. In just seven hours, every instrument and vocal track was recorded, mixed, and mastered so we could release it as quickly as possible. The song is now available to stream, and we are asking everyone to please listen, share, and stream it often to help us raise funds for Emilee’s recovery.
