Pereira claims the result doesn't tell the real story.

"This guy does not have heart. You could see it in his eyes," he says of Gane, insisting the Frenchman was so spent after the stoppage he couldn't even celebrate, and that if the pressure had kept coming, Gane wouldn't have survived.

Is Pereira seeing something real in Gane, or Delusional?

Two men watched the same fight and walked away seeing two completely different things.

Andy Foster, who heads the California commission that oversaw the UFC White House card, says there was nothing to stop: "Because there was so much movement, it's impossible to stop... I didn't feel there was any illegal activity." That was Sunday's heavyweight main event, where Alex Pereira moved up and lost to Ciryl Gane.

Pereira, who posted a video the next day showing marks on the back of his head, isn't buying it. His response to Foster was four words: "So why even have a referee then?"

Pereira has been clear he's not chasing a result reversal — he says "I lost that fight" — and that he's speaking up so it doesn't happen to someone else down the line.

Alex Pereira REACTS to Jon Jones video post after LOSS

A video that sure looked like he was celebrating Alex Pereira's loss to Ciryl Gane at the White House card. And Pereira's response wasn't a scream. It was a shrug with a knife in it.

Pereira says he never talked bad about Jones, that he actually had Jones's back when Jones was down, and that the support never came back the other way.

His read on the video? "Maybe a little bit of ego." [Ariel Helwani Show]

Pereira says if there was ever doubt inside Jones about who's really the best, "now he knows he is the best."

Asked straight up if this makes him want to fight Jones, Pereira didn't bite: "My biggest challenge is just to fight whoever's in front of me." Cold. Calculated. Very Pereira.

Justin Gaethje Promised HELL and He DELIVERED

The challenger came out fast, talked all week about taking Gaethje’s head off, and looked dangerous early. But once the championship rounds arrived, everything changed.

Gaethje’s pressure, pace, and punishment kept building until the corner had seen enough.
