Busy couple of weeks chasing some IA’s in Northern Utah for engine 361.

Engine 361 has completed our preseason training. It even included a couple of IAs. We have strong crew this year and are looking forward to what the summer has in store. The engine is heading out for its first assignment this week. .

Some of the handcrew members started the season with the removal of hazardous beetle kill timber, piling and burning, sunshine and snow - good times 🔥❄️

We cut indirect line, we set up pumps and hoses, we snagged hazard trees, we hiked, we prepped more indirect line, we worked with adjoining resources, we burned, we held the line, we watched incredible extreme fire behavior, and we learned about fish.

Some honorable mentions from a great summer! Engine 361 is winding down for the year after a summer filled with a little bit of everything. Thank you to all the interagency resources we got to work with this summer.

Been a busy last couple of months with some small IA’s as well as some large ones. October keeps rolling on for engine 361.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for engine 361, with multiple IA’s across Northern Utah.

Engine 361 just recently returned from two weeks in Arizona. The roll came with several fires, several night shifts, community support for the 4th of JULY, and a Dude fire staff ride.
