I've gotten a bunch too, claiming to be from friends' new numbers. It's super convincing at first because they know details from our FB friend lists.
What to do if you get one:
Don't respond or click any links that's how they steal info or install malware.
Verify directly: Call or message the person on Facebook/Messenger using the app (not the text number).
Block and report: Block the number on your phone, forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) to report to your carrier,
Tighten privacy: Go to your FB settings and make your phone number private or visible only to friends.
