One of life's greatest blessings is the people we meet along the way.

This weekend I had the opportunity to spend time with a longtime friend at church, reflecting on how quickly the years pass and how important relationships become with time.

Faith, family, friendship, and community continue to be some of life's greatest gifts.

Grateful for all four.

Found this old football photo and realized a few things:

The dog wasn't impressed.

My daughter was the real MVP.

And I was apparently convinced our team was going undefeated.

Some things change. Some things don't.

Still love football. Still love family. Still optimistic every September.

Through scholarships that help students continue their education, the program invests in the future of Coast Guard families. We're honored to be part of that mission.

The older I get, the more gratitude becomes a daily practice.
Grateful for family.
Grateful for friends.
Grateful for opportunities to serve.
And grateful for the people who make life's journey meaningful.

Sometimes the best finish lines aren't marked by mileage.

They're marked by moments like this.

Getting to spend time with my daughter, working toward a goal together, crossing the finish line, and coming away with memories we'll talk about for years is a win in my book.

The medals are nice.

The time together is priceless.

We pause to remember the brave Americans who endured captivity, those who never returned home, and the loved ones who continue to carry their legacy forward. May we always honor their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to our Nation. 💙
