Our President, Jennifer Tabanico, enjoyed the opportunity to speak today at the California Water Association’s Spring Policy Symposium on water, trust, and communication.

She loved joining leaders from across California’s water sector to discuss how behavioral science and community-based social marketing (CBSM) can support more effective communication, stronger public trust, and greater understanding of what it takes to maintain safe and reliable water systems.

Jennifer appreciated the thoughtful conversations around infrastructure investment, affordability, emergency response, and the importance of clear, transparent communication.

She is grateful to have been part of such an important discussion. Great work, Jennifer!

Thank you to everyone who attended our President Jennifer's two-day introduction to community-based social marketing (CBSM) workshop the past 2 days! ☺️

Jennifer dove headfirst into the CBSM process, did group activities to give hands-on experience, and empowered folks who work on similar issues to connect one-on-one. 🔥

All participants received a copy of the 2025 edition of the leading book in the field, Fostering Sustainable Behavior, which she co-authored with the CBSM founder Doug McKenzie-Mohr. They also got delicious food and drinks! 👏

We can’t wait for her next workshops soon. Go Jennifer, you inspire us every day! 💪
