Last years most viewed reel was of this man angrily storming his neighbors property with his 🔫, opening their car door & shooting their dog.
Here is the thing though. The kid was never actually bit. He MISSED the dog & wound up in jail.
I can not stress enough “do not let your emotions control you”. Even in situations when anger is justifiable, more ground can be covered with courtesy & conversation- if it can’t be, then escalate by calling the authorities 🤷

As long as their is a consistent consequence for undesirable behaviors &, here is the thing, THEY DONT LIKE the consequence…you will slowly but surely get them to desist the behavior

Letting a pack of dogs gang up on one & calling it “play” can get messy real fast.
That doesn’t mean it can’t happen, it just means we need to take into account of if our dogs social cues are being respected.
In this video, the young pup is soliciting play from panty, and they begin to engage for a while. The whole time is pretty much panty frolicking around while being chased by the two housemates.
I know I can trust these situations with panty and the other two dogs because when panty decided she had enough the other to immediately stopped and mirrored her behavior
If you notice one dog attempting to escape and hide while their social cues are being ignored, that is when we need to step in and create a boundary.

People really be upset that I don’t let my dogs sleep in my bed, that I wait for my dog’s bowl to be empty before I fill it, that I only feed my dogs once a day, but I don’t leave toys out around dogs who have resource/reactivity/dominant/aggressive tendencies.
What most don’t realize, is that my existence with dogs is a lot different than the average/regular pet dogs-human life, and existence. This is primarily due to the fact that I have a pack of dogs, and so they behave differently within a group. The second factor is that the dogs that come to me Generally have aggressive histories that are constantly being mitigated and worked with. We are not the same.
