Ever Been Here Before? ⤵️
GONZO! Ramen Bar & Restaurant is located in Downtown Carlsbad - Upstairs in the northwest side of the plaza.
They have won accolades for their Ramen, and they also have a unique bar that serves as a dance floor for their live dj music sets.
A really unique experience indeed.
If you've never been here before, I do recommend checking out their nightlife, food and drinks.

Ocean Buffet is an Asian seafood buffet restaurant located in Carlsbad and they have a pretty decent selection of food available.
From coconut shrimp, kung pao chicken, mussels, crab, sushi, pizza, egg rolls, bao buns and my favorite, jalapenos chicken; the options are extensive and they add more options for their dinner menu after 3:30pm.
Their lunch deal is $20 and it's a great value.

Oceanside Harbor 1967 ⤵️
With all of the new developments, coming to Southern California, there's been some concerns about what will come of the Oceanside Harbour.
Currently, Dana point is having their entire harbor redeveloped with a 15 minute city plan being implemented.
Commercial shops and retail at the bottom and residential at the top.
Many businesses that have been open for over 30 years I've been closed and demolished.
It was just two years ago that there was talks of the Oceanside Harbor being remodeled and the fears of the Harbour Village shops being torn down.
The city has already ended the local celebration known as Harbor Nights.
There was also talk of how the village shops were not having their leases renewed.
What are your most favorite memories at the harbor and do you think that a complete redevelopment of the harbor is needed?

Life was a lot different back then.
The emphasis was on the growth of a military town and an opportunity for our service members to complete their training and even build a life in the city they were familiar with.
Many completed their training and had an opportunity to purchase a home and start their family in Oceanside..

The owner of Kahlo Cafe, Kelly, randomly made me her favorite snack; the sweet & savory.

This bagel flavor combo comes open-faced and features one caprese bagel with pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil & balsamic.
The other bagel is a Nutella and strawberry and both are on "everything seasoning" bagels.

Eating one bite of each was the method she said leads to a great experience and it did!
This is a secret menu item, so ask for it by name 😉

Black Bear Diner in Vista is now rolling out their new seasonal menu items.

On it they have a Pumpkin Cream Pancake Breakfast Platter that comes with eggs (your way) and a side of bacon or housemade sausage.

You can also try their pumpkin cream cheesecake and huckleberry milkshake.

Breakfast is served all day!
