Oceanside Police Department is anti-USMC. Here they’ve set up a Supreme Court approved, but nevertheless unethical and immoral, DUI checkpoint on a road leading right to the back gate of Camp Pendleton. Recently they set up another checkpoint on North River Road which also leads right to Camp Pendleton. It’s no coincidence where these checkpoints are located and the time they’re being conducted, this evening around 1800. These ARE NOT to catch those coming from bars and night clubs, these are targeted to stop, harass, and catch Marines and those families living on base or nearby, including dependents.
Esther Sanchez - you need to speak to OPD Chief and stop them from harassing Marines and civilians alike with these stupid, unethical, and immoral DUI checkpoints. If they’re not targeting Marines, are they targeting Latinos living in and around Libby Lake and Luiseño Park?? Either way, stop this!!!
