It’s Marine Corps Airborne Day!

On 01 April 1943, the Marine Corps first and only Parachute Regiment was officially formed. Known as the Paramarines, these hard fighting Marines saw combat from Guadalcanal to Bougainville. They were finally disbanded on 29 Feb 1944 with the exception of an Air Delivery Detachment.

You know when the Marine Corps was trying to change the PT uniform. Why didn’t they bring this back? I vote we add this to the petition for Unit patches, leather belts, hazing and MFFJM wings! Anyone else agree?
