Not every recurring boil is just a boil.
Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause painful bumps, abscesses, drainage, and scarring, often in areas where skin rubs together, such as the underarms, groin, and under the breasts.
Because HS is frequently mistaken for ingrown hairs, acne, or recurring boils, many people go years without a proper diagnosis.
Early diagnosis and treatment can help reduce flare-ups, minimize scarring, and improve quality of life.
If you're experiencing recurring painful bumps or skin lesions that won't go away, it may be time to see a dermatologist.

Think youβre using sunscreen correctly? Most people miss a few important rules. βοΈ
Daily sun protection is about more than just applying SPF once and hoping for the best.
- SPF 30+ or higher
- Broad spectrum protection
- Reapply every 2 hours outdoors
- Reapply after swimming or sweating
- Donβt forget commonly missed spots like your ears, neck, chest, hands, and feet
And yes⦠even water-resistant sunscreen needs reapplication.
Small habits can make a big difference when it comes to protecting your skin.
Have questions about sunscreen or your skin health? Our team is here to help.

Skin cancer isnβt always easy to recognize, and not every spot looks the same. π
BCC, SCC, and melanoma are the three most common types of skin cancer, but each can appear differently and carry different levels of risk.
β’ BCC is the most common and often slow growing
β’ SCC may appear scaly or crusted and can spread if untreated
β’ Melanoma is the most dangerous and should never be ignored
If you notice a spot thatβs changing, bleeding, crusting, itching, or simply doesnβt look right, itβs time to get it checked.
Early detection matters.
