With the 2026 USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals looming this Sunday, there's plenty to discuss about judging equitation.

On this episode of The Plaidchat, Piper Klemm is joined by Michael Tokaruk, judge of the 2026 USEF Talent Search Finals, and Geoff Teall, judge of the 2026 USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals, to discuss the championships and the new scoring system. Both offer valuable perspectives on how equitation rounds are judged and what greater clarity in scoring could mean for riders, trainers, and spectators.

Beautiful

This pretty female Great Pyranees X is looking for her forever home 🙏🙏 She will thrive best in a rural environment, farm or ranch… She’s very friendly with people and will get along with other dogs if allowed time to adjust. Friends of mine are fostering her and absolutely love her, but they are in a city and know that she’s a country girl.

Please PM and we will put you in contact.

Congratulations to the new owners of our unicorn, Ostwind 59 🦄 and safe travels home to France with him! 🇫🇷

We first met Osty four years ago when he was Leslie Howard’s Grand Prix mount. Dominic began riding him, and then Leslie had the idea to put Jordan in the irons — the rest is history. From the low Junior Jumpers all the way to the Grand Prix level, Osty was the ultimate partner for Jordan.

A few weeks ago, Kyle Timm leased Osty for an overseas rider at the Longines Miami Beach show. It was immediate love and now Osty is headed to France with his new rider and ready to begin an exciting new chapter!

It’s incredibly special (and rare) for an American to sell a horse back to Europe, and even more special that this was made possible by Jordan, at just 19 years old.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Jordan and Osty's journey. Most of all, thank you to Ostwind 59, a horse who makes dreams come true. We will miss your bright expression, beautiful pricked ears, and those unforgettable sloppy kisses.

Bon voyage 🇫🇷❤️
