It's been a slow week on EBay - only 3 sales.

But I'm not freaking out. It's the "summer slowdown." More people are outside, on vacation, and the kids are out of school.

Instead of freaking out, I'm continuing to list 5 items a day and sourcing. All of this is to prep for Q3 and Q4 when things will pick up.

How are you handling summer slowdown?

We've decided to gradually start selling clothing. Here is our set up so far.

Anyone else have one of these when they first got married? Yup, I did!! Vintage 90's!!

I donated mine several years ago. Found one at a thrift store last week. 🥳. I wonder if it was mine! 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

What sold this week!

The cross stitch fabric and leaflet cost me nothing. They were my mom's. Paid $1 for the new CD at an estate sale. The Universal valve thing sold as part of a 25% off sale I'm running (paid $5 at a yard sale). Picked up the belt for $2 at an estate sale.

Definitely not high dollar sales, but happy to move inventory.

How were your sales this week?

Listing consistently has really bumped up our numbers.

We're also selling at least one item every day. Doesn't sound like a lot, but I'm seeing lots of other resellers say that they have no sales.

I'll take one sale per day while we build this business.

How is your reselling business doing?

Picked this up at the thrift store today. Not sure exactly what it is. A granny smock?

Husband thought I was nuts. Young lady checking me out said, "oooh that's cute."
I swung around and gave husband the "see, I told you I know what I'm doing" look. 😎😈

Would you have picked it up or passed on it?

Let's talk numbers. I think this proves that being consistent is helping. Listing 5 EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even if I'm too tired. Even if I want to go to bed. Even if I've worked 10 hours at my full-time job (which is not reselling).

We're averaging at least 1 sale per day. And our average sales price is about $20 per item. Of course I want those numbers higher and I know they will be!

What do your numbers look like?

Heading out to a couple of estate sales this morning. Estate sales and thrift stores are my best bet for finding good inventory.

The Memorial Day weekend weather is lousy here so I'm hoping that means more people will be shopping! I'll definitely be doing more thrifting and listing!! 😎🥳

What sold late yesterday and today.

Modem was originally listed for $80. Took an offer of $50.

Headset was originally listed for $55.99. Took an offer of $46.

Could I have gotten more for each? Probably if I sat on them long enough. But I know very little about tech and gadgets and I didn't want to risk it.

What would you have done?

Consistent listing is paying off! I've been listing 5 items every day for almost 2 weeks. Since then, we have had an average of 2 sales a day. It doesn't sound like much and they're not big ticket items, but it's consistently bringing money in. And that's a win in my book!
