🩷🩷 Winnie - Fractured Leg 🩷🩷
Meet Winnie! This sweet girl is one of our sanctuary piggies due to an injury she suffered while living in a homeless encampment, where she was attacked by a dog. By the time she came to us, the injury had already healed improperly. Despite that, Winnie adapted well and was getting around surprisingly well.
Unfortunately, it appears that her back leg is now causing her discomfort. We have started her on meloxicam to help keep her comfortable while we work on getting her seen by a veterinarian. We suspect she may be developing arthritis in the injured limb, which could be contributing to her pain and mobility issues.
We would like to get Winnie evaluated as soon as possible. We are also currently fundraising for the three other piggies who have veterinary appointments scheduled for 6/30. If you are able to donate toward Winnie’s care, it would mean so much to us and to her. Every donation helps us provide the medical care these deserving piggies need.
Thank you for your continued support, and we will keep everyone updated on Winnie and the rest of the piggies as we learn more. 🩷🐹🩷

💚💚 TOMMY HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 💚💚
We are so excited to share that sweet senior Tommy has found his forever home! This handsome neutered boy has gone to live with a lovely new girlfriend who is also spayed.
His new companion was actually adopted from us previously (formerly known as Reba). Sadly, her longtime cage mate, Brooks, recently crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving a hole in her heart. We are hopeful that Tommy and his new lady friend will bring each other comfort, companionship, and plenty of happiness.
We wish these two adorable piggies all the best as they begin this new chapter together and with his new family. Here’s to a lifetime of wheeks, cuddles, veggies, and a happily ever after! 💚

‼️‼️ VET CARE FUNDS NEEDED ‼️‼️
❤️ 3 Piggies Need to Be Seen ASAP ❤️
We currently have three guinea pigs that need veterinary care, and we are asking for your help to get them seen as soon as possible.
First is our new Abby girl, KitKat, who came into our rescue last week after being found and fed a diet of rice and bread. Despite being told she was aggressive, this sweet girl has proven to be incredibly gentle and loving. While she appears healthy on the surface, we would like to have her thoroughly examined by a veterinarian to ensure there are no underlying health concerns from her previous care.
The next two piggies are among the six guinea pigs that were recently abandoned at our rescue.
❤️ Our senior male, estimated to be around 6–7 years old, is in the most urgent need of care. He is severely underweight and is suffering from bumblefoot on both of his front feet. We want to get him evaluated and start treatment as soon as possible so he can finally be comfortable and begin gaining weight.
❤️ A young female also needs to be seen. She has a noticeable pear-shaped body and appears as though she may be pregnant. We would like to have an ultrasound and/or x-rays performed to determine whether she is expecting babies or if she can be safely placed up for adoption when the time comes.
We were informed that the female guinea pigs frequently jumped into the males’ enclosure. Additionally, one of the blonde roan females recently gave birth to a lethal white baby that sadly passed away the following day, making us even more concerned that there may be additional pregnancies among these piggies.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide the medical care these guinea pigs desperately need. If you would like to contribute toward their veterinary expenses, please consider donating today.
Thank you for supporting our rescue and helping us

Here is the conversation between myself and the “boarder” who dumped her pigs on us. Curious what everyone else thinks about this?!
I did remove her Facebook picture along with her name since it showed her last name. I kept her name in the conversation. She has since been banned from our Facebook! (We are in the blue and she is the gray)

‼️ 6 DUMPED GUINEA PIGS AT THE RESCUE ‼️
Good evening, everyone
We recently had someone board guinea pigs with us and then completely disappear. After the scheduled pickup date came and went with no communication, I reached out several times. Two days later, the owner finally responded, explaining that they had been working and then admitting they could no longer keep all of their guinea pigs.
I am heartbroken, frustrated, and honestly appalled. I don’t understand how anyone can think this behavior is acceptable. We have repeatedly posted that our rescue is FULL and not accepting surrenders. While we’ve recently had a few openings due to adoptions and the passing of an elderly piggy, we have been intentionally trying to reduce our numbers, especially following the recent birth of my son.
This was not an emergency surrender. These guinea pigs were brought to us under the guise of boarding from 6/12 to 6/14. When pickup day arrived, there was complete silence. I reached out again on Tuesday and still received no response until Wednesday. By that point, it had become clear that these animals had effectively been dumped on the rescue.
My mother, Leah, who handled the drop-off, felt that something seemed off from the beginning. The interaction was very brief, with little communication or engagement from the owner.
What makes this even more upsetting is the condition of the guinea pigs. The senior male that was boarded is severely underweight and has bumblefoot on both feet. Several of the guinea pigs have extremely overgrown nails, with some older pigs’ nails beginning to curl. There is absolutely no excuse for this level of neglect.
Because of the circumstances, I have filed a police report for documentation purposes. Animal dumping is something we take very seriously and will not tolerate.
As angry and disappointed as I am, these guinea pigs did end up in a place where they will receive the care they deserve. They will be evaluated, rehabilitated, and, if healthy enough, placed up for adoption. We believe the senior brown roan male is approximately 6–7 years old and will likely become a sanctuary resident due to his age and condition.
Now we need your help.
Taking in six unexpected guinea pigs is a major strain on our already limited resources. They are currently being housed in our boarding area, which is an important source of income that helps keep the rescue running. Unfortunately, boarding bookings, adoptions, and donations have all been extremely slow this year, and the rescue is struggling financially.
🚨We urgently need:
🐹 Monetary donations
🥬 Pellets and fresh vegetables
🏠 Cages (especially 2x4 setups)
🛖 New hidey’s and housing supplies
📦 Purchases from our Amazon and Chewy wishlists
Every donation, purchase, share, and kind word helps more than you know. While this situation was completely unexpected, we are committed to giving these guinea pigs the care, safety, and love they deserve.
Thank you for standing with us and supporting the animals who depend on this rescue. ❤️

Sweet April has officially gone into foster care with Crystal! ❤️ Some of you may remember Crystal and her best friend, Gemma. Sadly, Gemma recently crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving Crystal in need of a new companion. We are so happy that April has stepped in to fill that role! Aprils’s wonderful foster mom is currently caring for April, and we’re excited to watch this new friendship blossom. Thank you for giving these girls the love and companionship they deserve! 🐹💕

‼️‼️6 GUINEA PIGS DUMPED AT OUR RESCUE‼️‼️
Post coming soon!! I’m gathering all details and taking pictures. We had someone who was “boarding their 6 guinea pigs for 3 days, ghosted us and then replied saying they can’t keep their pigs!!

‼️‼️VEGGIES NEEDED TODAY‼️‼️
It’s about that time again—we need veggies! We’ve been able to keep our rescue stocked thanks to previous monetary donations and generous veggie donations, but we’re now running very low. Donations have slowed down significantly, which is honestly a little scary. I can’t do this alone, and our piggies depend on us every day for fresh, healthy food.
Unfortunately, vegetable prices have increased by about 20%, and it now costs around $230 for us to do a full restock. We’re hoping to make a veggie run today if possible, but we need your help to get there.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small and every dollar goes directly toward feeding the guinea pigs in our care. Please send some angels our way so we can keep these sweet piggies happy, healthy, and well-fed.
I truly appreciate everyone’s generosity and understanding. I know times are tough for many people right now, and we’re grateful for every share, donation, and kind thought. ❤️🐹
