I have very mixed feelings about this article. I don't like the way it begins based on money. Please do not equate something that is philosophical with $$.
That said, I appreciate the acceptance of patrilineal Jews as fully Jewish. Our children are our children. Yes, the Orthodox must struggle with Halacha; it is a burden. But studies show that even Orthodox grandparents are likely to see their grandchildren - born of non-Jewish mother - as Jews.
We must struggle with our hearts and our minds.
As Jews we should embrace struggle.
