And that’s a wrap on the fifth annual REEL Film Fest! 🎬🍿✨

What a blast. We’re still recovering from all the fun, energy, and incredible moments from this year’s festival. Seeing our students screen their films, speak on stage, and celebrate with their families and community was truly special.

A huge thank you to The New Parkway Theatre, our amazing students, volunteers, partner schools, teaching artists, families, and everyone who came out to support REEL Film Fest 2026. This event would not be possible without you all.

Fun fact: Joy Ofodu (), our 2026 REEL Film Fest special guest — started her career blogging about her encounters with directors, producers, and actors while attending USC ✨

Since then, she’s gone on to work with brands like Disney, Netflix, Dove, Instagram, Facebook, Star Wars, and the NAACP Image Awards, while building a community of over 350K followers through her voiceover work, filmmaking, and podcast Dating Unsettled 🎬

We’ll also be screening her comedy short Heart of Sunshine at REEL Film Fest!
