AIDS Project of the East Bay is focused on the prevention of the spread of HIV and supports individuals living with the virus through programs targeted at some of the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals. The corporation seeks to provide culturally sensitive, non-judgmental and effective services to all persons and communities in Alameda County living with and affected by HIV.

First congratulations to the organizations that were funded. I'm happy to see some organizations that I know are doing amazing work in some communities where I've lived and worked. I do confess myself disappointed to see no domestic AIDS Service Organizations or LGBTQ organizations on the list of orgs funded by MacKenzie Scott's recent "Open Call." Of over 6,000 organizations that applied and the many LGBTQ and ASO's that I know of that applied not one got through????? I know we write good grants, I know we do good work, I know we serve people with needs, I'm curious about the process that "Yields" such a glaring omission.

Please join the YA Flunder Foundation each week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a hot lunch and Wellness activities. Participants must have a letter of diagnosis regarding HIV Status. Protocols for the building require proof of COVID vaccine. The program will be closed between Christmas and New Years but will resume on January 3rd. We look forward to seeing you then.
