Grateful for the work of the Catholic Mobilizing Network to end the death penalty, promote restorative practices, and promoting dignity for all those impacted by the criminal legal system.
Today, December 14, is the Jubilee of Prisoners — the final celebration of this Jubilee Year.
For this Jubilee recognizing those in prison, we call to mind the nearly two million people in the United States who are incarcerated, detained, or awaiting ex*****on. In solidarity, born from our shared dignity as children of God and members of the Body of Christ, we are called to participate in a ministry of restorative practices which seek to make whole all people impacted by crime and the carceral system.
In collaboration with the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition, Catholic Mobilizing Network assisted in preparing a resource for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in honor of the Jubilee of Prisoners.

Another example of success using relation-focused, healing-centered approaches. We need more programs focusing on building relationships, assisting individuals in finding their own healing, and addressing the needs of those we are trying to serve so they can succeed.

We send our condolences to the loved ones of Jack Dison. Jack was one of our early Victim Offender Education Group Facilitators at San Quentin. Jack also played a pivotal role in supporting the Interfaith Restorative Justice Roundtable at San Quentin and the symposiums that were held starting in 2005. Jack will always be a beloved member of the IPP Family! We are grateful for his support and passion to promote restorative justice through the years.
