The event, held in the AC Transit Board meeting room and sponsored by AC Transit, brought together influential transit leaders including Rashidi Barnes, CEO of Tri-Delta Transit, and Joel Young of the AC Transit Board.

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CAHSR) has completed another key milestone in the Central Valley—the 485-ft Avenue 88 Grade Separation in Tulare County. This new overpass spans SR 43, the BNSF railway, and the future high-speed rail corridor.

Acumen is proud to support CAHSR and the incredible progress being made to advance sustainable, transformative infrastructure for California.

From Nairobi to California — forging a bold green alliance. On Aug 11–12, through the California–Africa Climate and Economic Delegation, Kenya and California came together to advance clean energy, e-mobility, and climate-smart trade across a $3.4 trillion market. Acumen's President and CEO, Mr. Walter Allen, joined leaders at the forum to turn climate ambition into action and opportunity. Acumen's goal is to help our world with clean energy and protect our climate. Check out some photos from Mr. Allen.

According to the 2025 Top 100 Truck Bottlenecks report, the SF Bay Area is not among the most congested corridors where traffic drops below 30 mph. Acumen supports ongoing investment in infrastructure and public transit to keep our region moving.

Acumen will be present at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Rail Conference in SF next week. APTA covers subjects such as technology, operations, maintenance, safety & security, planning, finance and capital projects.

On 06/25, U.S. District Judge Tana Lin issued an injunction restoring $5B in NEVI program funds to 14 states, including CA. This decision reactivates critical EV infrastructure projects. Acumen supports sustainable transportation and EV infrastructure. PC: ACTNews

On 2/26, Walter Allen attended the 10th Annual State of the Port event: Building for the Next Generation. Port of Oakland Commission President Michael Colbruno, Executive Director Danny Wan, and Chief Operating Officer Kristi McKenney shared the Port’s 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the launch of Alto, the largest infrastructure project in Canadian History. The high-speed rail line will run between Toronto and Quebec City. Acumen supports Canada’s project and hopes that USHSR will connect with Toronto.
